Ground Transportation
To make your ground transportation from the airport to the ADPI/ABI Conference as trouble free as possible, we have enclosed the following information on your options for transport from Chicago airports to the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
We hope the following information is helpful to you in planning your trip to Chicago for the ADPI/ABI Annual Conference.
Taxicab Service
There is a taxi line outside the baggage claim areas at both O'Hare and Midway Airports. If you are alone, your taxi fare from O'Hare Airport to the Hyatt Regency will be approximately $50-60 exclusive of a tip; the fare from Midway Airport will be slightly less. To reduce your cost, you can tell the cab starter that you would like to share a ride downtown; the feasibility of this option depends upon finding someone in line close by who is also traveling to downtown Chicago.
Airport Shuttle Van: Go Airport Express
Go Airport Express provides express bus service from O'Hare and Midway to the Hyatt Regency Chicago. (45-60 minutes travel time). A $2.00 Airport Express discount coupon is available on the Web. Simply go to the home page listed below and click the Special Offers icon located at the bottom right of the page. Follow the instructions to print the coupon.

Traveling From O'Hare: Shuttles depart from O'Hare airport every 10-15 minutes for downtown service to Chicago hotels, downtown businesses, near north residential locations, and suburban locations. Our loading zones for boarding the Airport Express van are at Door 1E. The last Airport Express van leaves O'Hare at 11:30 p.m. seven nights a week. The Airport Express Ticket Counters for purchasing tickets are located at Door 1E, Door 2D, and Door 3F across from baggage claim on the Baggage Claim level. Reservations are not required to Downtown Chicago. At the international terminal they are located just outside Door 1E, which is just outside of baggage claim and Customs.
Traveling From Midway: Shuttles depart from Midway airport every 15 minutes for downtown service to Chicago hotels, downtown businesses and near north residential locations. Our airport express ticket counter and loading zone is located at Door 3, lower level across from baggage claim. Reservations from Midway to downtown are not necessary. The last Airport Express van leaves Midway at 10:30 p.m. seven nights a week. The Airport Express Counter is located at Door 3, Lower Level. Reservations are not required to Downtown Chicago.
Public Transportation
See the Chicago CTA Web site (http://www.transitchicago.com/) for elevated train information and schedules. The cost is $2.00 each way between the airports and downtown near the hotel.
From O'Hare: Follow the signs to Trains to City to catch the Blue Line to the Chicago Loop. Trains leave every few minutes. Buy magnetic ticket cards from the machines near the entrance to the train platform using U.S. paper money or coins. The trip takes about 40 minutes. Get off the train at the Clark and Lake stop. From this stop it is seven blocks, just over 1 km, to the Hyatt Regency Chicago. You can walk or flag a taxi to take you to the hotel (about $5.00). To walk, go east on Lake Street to Michigan Ave., then go north on Michigan Ave. to Wacker Drive. The Hyatt Regency Chicago is on the south side of Wacker Drive just east of Michigan Ave.

Trains leave every fifteen minutes from about 7:30 a.m. until 11:20 p.m. Buy magnetic ticket cards from the machines near the entrance to the train platform using U.S. paper money or coins. The trip takes about 30 minutes. Get off the train at the State and Lake stop. From this stop it is four blocks, less than 1 km, to the Hyatt Regency Chicago. You can walk or flag a taxi to take you to the hotel (about $5.00). To walk, go east on Lake Street to Michigan Ave., then go north on Michigan Ave. to Wacker Drive. The Hyatt Regency Chicago is on the south side of Wacker Drive just east of Michigan Ave.
