June 16, 2015 12:00 PM EDT
Hosted by: CENTER FOR FOOD SAFETY AND REGULATORY SOLUTIONS (CFSRS)
FSMA’s Preventive Control requirements have been added to the Grade “A” PMO. On April 29th, 2015 NCIMS Conference ended after considering 100 proposals to change the Grade “A” farm, hauler and processing plant requirements, adopting 49. Key changes include:
· 5 adopted proposals require all Grade “A” dairy plants to have a written hazard analysis, recall program, environmental monitoring program, allergen program and supplier management program.
· Accepted industry use of drug residue tests for raw milk that have not been evaluated by FDA but have been verified and accepted by the NCIMS can be used and require state regulatory follow-up.
· 2-year Appendix N pilot was established to evaluate how and at what frequency residues from non-beta lactam drug families (i.e. flunixin, sulfonamides, macrolides, tetracyclines, aminoglycosides and avermectins) should be checked on incoming raw milk tankers from the dairy farm.
This webinar will cover all adopted proposals along with the timeline for the Grade “A” industry to become compliant with these new requirements. The time to move your Grade “A” plant operational programs toward compliance with these newly adopted PMO changes is now. The cost of the webinar is $100 for all participants, with this being reduced to $75 for a second attendee from the same company.
