ADPI Membership


Are you truly ready to make a difference in building a successful dairy ingredients industry? If you are then you are ready to become a member of the American Dairy Products Institute! Being a member of ADPI helps recognize and establish credibility for you and your company as an important part of the manufactured dairy products industry. 

As an ADPI member you will be entitled to value-added membership services which include participation on the ADPI Board of Directors and/or committees and task forces. This will provide you and your company a great opportunity for building relationships with industry colleagues while solving issues of common interest.

ADPI Membership Categories


ADPI membership is open to all companies involved in the dairy industry. Membership dues vary by category. 

► Processors and Trading Company Tier I members are all eligible for board representation and have voting rights. Dues are formulaic and based on annual volumes of their companies.

 ► Trading Company Tier II, Affiliate, Utilization, International and Individual member category membership dues are fee based, as determined by the ADPI Board of Directors. These membership categories are not eligible for board representation.

► All members receive discounted registration for ADPI hosted meetings, seminars, conferences, and forums, as well as weekly ADPI publications. All have access to ADPI services and eligibility to participate on ADPI Committees and/or Task Force groups.


Classes of Membership:

•  Processor: Firms processing milk and/or co-products derived from milk into finished marketable and/or intermediate products at a plant located within the United States. Processor members are Voting Members and eligible for representation on the ADPI Board of Directors.

•  Trading Company
        -  Tier I: Firms which are involved in the marketing and distribution of dairy products produced in the United States. Tier-I Trading Company members are Voting Members and eligible for representation on the ADPI Board of Directors. Processor members are not eligible to be Trading Company Tier-I members.
 (Dues based on annual sales of U.S. produced dairy ingredients. Please contact Steve Griffin at sgriffin@adpi.org for dues structure)

        -  Tier II: Firms which are involved in the marketing and distribution of dairy products produced in the United States. Tier-II Trading Company members are not Voting Members and are not eligible for representation on the ADPI Board of Directors. Processor members are not eligible to be Trading Company Tier II members.
 (Membership Dues: $1,600 annually)

 International Companies: Firms which process or further process milk and/or co-products derived from milk into finished marketable and/or intermediate products, and do not have a dairy plant located within the United States. International members are not Voting Members and are not eligible for representation on the ADPI Board of Directors. Processors and Trading Companies (Tier I, II) are not eligible to be International members.
   (Membership Dues: $1,600 annually)

•  Affiliate:  Firms which are manufacturers, distributors, or suppliers of equipment, materials, and/or services to the dairy industry. Affiliate members are not Voting Members and are not eligible for representation on the ADPI Board of Directors. Processors, Trading Companies (Tier I, II), and International members are not eligible to be Affiliate members.
 (Membership Dues: $1,600 annually)

•  Utilization: Firms using dairy products which neither process milk and/or co-products derived from milk into finished marketable and/or intermediate products, nor supply equipment, materials or services to the industry.
 (Membership Dues: $1,300 annually)

•  Individual: Persons who have been active participants in ADPI for five (5) or more years, and who are retired or semi-retired; or, if otherwise qualified but actively employed in a capacity relating to the industry (i.e., consultant), their employing firm/partnership contains three (3) or fewer employees.
