Uelzena Unveils "Most Advanced Milk Powder Plant in Europe"

Uelzena has opened its MTW Milk Powder Plant in Neumunster, Germany, to meet the growing demand for high quality milk powder. The plant will process 600m kilograms of regional milk into approximately 60,000 tons of milk powder each year. “The spraying tower has been designed to handle agglomerated products with high and low bulk weights as well as milk powder that meets the requirements of the American Dairy Products Institute (ADPI),” explained Bernd Gewecke, Sales Manager of MTW.

The World’s Largest Dairy Spray Dryer Completes Its First Season

Irish Dairy Board Opens $12m Cheese Plant in Wisconson

DFA Producing Dry Milk in New $85M Nevada Plant

Dairy Farmers of America's new state-of-the-art plant in Fallon, Nev., has begun producing dry milk, the majority of which will be exported to Asia. The $85 million plant, which is expected to create about 1,500 jobs over the next five years, has a daily capacity of about 250,000 pounds of powdered milk.

Schreiber Foods Moves Into New Headquarters

Schreiber Foods has completed construction of a 250,000-square-foot headquarters in downtown Green Bay, Wisconsin, which will house offices, product development and testing. CWT Assists with 4 Million Pounds of Cheese, Butter and Whole Milk Powder Export Sales

Cooperatives Working Together (CWT) has accepted 5 requests for export assistance to sell 158,733 pounds (72 metric tons) of Cheddar and Gouda cheese, 2.315 million pounds (1,050 metric tons) of butter (82% butterfat) and 1.574 million pounds (714 metric tons) of whole milk powder to customers in Asia and the Middle East.
