New Cornell Drink With Protein Punch Debuts at New York Farm Day in D.C.

It hasn't got a name yet, but it's a drink with an extra protein punch. Cornell food scientist David Barbano has developed technology to isolate protein and calcium from skim milk. From this can be produced juices or flavored-water drinks that are high in protein and calcium and low in carbohydrates and free of lactose.

Arthur Jerry Good, 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, at Tuscany Gardens in Pataskala. Jerry served the dairy industry as an officer of the American Butter Institute, as president in 1965 and director from 1960 to 1972. He also was the Ohio Dairy Products Association president in 1965 and served on the board of trustees and as treasurer for more than 27 years, beginning in 1960. He was a director of the American Dry Milk Institute, and was awarded a lifetime honorary directorship of the American Dairy Products Institute.
