The volumes on offer by Fonterra at the next GlobalDairyTrade (GDT) auction on July 16th are as previously forecast with a total of 19,500 tons of whole milk powder (WMP) being offered. Across the next 12 months Fonterra is forecast to offer 499,000 tons of WMP for sale on GDT, and 157,630 tons of skim milk powder (SMP).

New Zealand Exports of Whole Milk Powder Increase by 12.5%

The volume of WMP exported out of New Zealand (NZ) this year to date equates to just over 580,000 tons. This is 12.5% more than was exported during the same period in 2012, and 9% more than 2011. The high export volumes this year were a result of the excess volumes of milk that were produced in the first half of NZ's 2012/13 dairying season.
