Fonterra Buys Lactose Product Lineup for $53 Million

Dairy cooperative Fonterra has agreed to buy the product lineup of FrieslandCampina Domo-Pharma, a pharmaceutical lactose business, for $53 million. The deal will help Fonterra grow its European joint venture with DMV into the world's biggest "fine" lactose business. The deal is expected to close by March.
