Davisco, Business Unit of Agropur Inc., has announced completion of a significant increase in production capacity of Alpha-lactalbumin at the Jerome Cheese facility in Jerome, Idaho. The potential Alpha-lactalbumin volume from Jerome Cheese will be increasing tenfold. Davisco's unique product is isolated to over 90% Alpha-lactalbumin, the highest purity commercially available.

USDEC Endorses Trade Promotion Authority Approval for Trade Agreements

CWT Assists with 2.9 Million Pounds of Cheese and Butter Export Sales

Cooperatives Working Together (CWT) has accepted 11 requests for export assistance to sell 2.477 million pounds (1,124 metric tons) of Cheddar, Gouda, and Monterey Jack cheese and 385,809 pounds (175 metric tons) of butter to customers in Asia, the Middle East, and the South Pacific.

Saputo Inc. has announced that its Australian subsidiary, Warrnambool Cheese and Butter Factory Company Holdings Limited, has entered into an agreement to acquire the everyday cheese business of Lion-Dairy & Drinks Pty Ltd based in Victoria, Australia. The purchase price of CDN$134.4 million, on a debt-free basis, includes CDN$104.1 million which represents the value of inventory net of a minimal amount of assumed liabilities, and is subject to the final determination of the inventory amount and assumed liabilities amount at closing.
