Fonterra, Nestle Shuffle Control of Joint-Venture DPA

Fonterra and Nestle have amended their joint venture investment in Dairy Partners Americas to Fonterra taking a majority 51% share in Brazil and Nestle acquiring the rest. Fonterra has also taken control of Nestle's share in DPA Venezuela, while Nestle now controls DPA Ecuador. The changes "better reflect each company's respective strategies," and "are aimed at making our businesses in Brazil and Venezuela even stronger," Fonterra's Managing Director of Latin America Alex Turnbull said.
