Nearly 1,000 professionals from over 20 countries in the dairy ingredient sector gathered in Chicago for “where the dairy industry does business” during the 2023 ADPI/ABI Annual Conference held April 23-25. Seizing opportunities ahead and navigating challenges were themes highlighted during the opening sessions of this year’s conference.
Co-hosted by the American Dairy Products Institute and the American Butter Institute, this year’s meeting featured concurrent technical and commercial tracks with deep-dive sessions, panel discussions and innovative content, covering subjects such as sustainability, academic research, dairy economics, quality assurance and ingredient briefings. In addition, over 40 exhibitors showcased their insights, technology, and opportunities to help the industry grow.
ADPI recognized contributions to the dairy products industry with the presentation of the 2023 C. Earl Gray Award of Merit to Richard Bradfield, a long-time ADPI board member and general manager of International Ingredient Corporation. The recipients of the 2023 ADPI Scholarship program were announced, presenting the Philip Tong Education Scholarship to Ella Martin and Erin Martin, both students at Kansas State University, and the Jim Page Memorial Scholarship to Rainna Simone, enrolled at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls; Olivia Adams, student at the University of Wisconsin, Plattsville; and Hayden Metzger from Oregon State University.
The 2023 conference celebrated the centennial year of ADPI and 100 years of the organization’s commitment and contributions to the dairy ingredient industry.
ADPI and ABI would like to thank our 40+ conference sponsors for making this event a success. Mark your calendars for the 2024 Annual Conference to be held in Chicago, April 28 -30, at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk.
