On an annual basis, ADPI offers annual conferences and training, along with webinars and focused forums and symposiums, to bring the industry together and to educate the dairy ingredients workforce.

ADPI/ABI Annual Conference:
Where the Dairy Industry Does Business®

April 24-26, 2022 | Chicago, IL

The ADPI/ABI Annual Conference is a gathering that is truly unique in the dairy industry. Co-hosted by the American Dairy Products Institute and the American Butter Institute, this is the premier event for the manufactured dairy products industry. 

This annual conference, Where The Dairy Industry Does Business®, is designed for attendees to meet face-to-face with both leaders of businesses and others empowered to conduct business as either buyers or sellers.  At the same time, the educational and social aspects of the event are extremely rewarding, all in the superb venue of Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, typically held in April.

International Whey Conference:
Blazing the Whey

September 11-14, 2022 | Chicago, IL

American Dairy Products Institute (ADPI) in collaboration with European Whey Products Association (EWPA) hosts the International Whey Conference (IWC) every two years, alternating between a U.S. location and an European location.  

The focus of the conference is to highlight the latest industry trends, new applications and most current research related to a wide range of whey products, showcasing whey as a value-added ingredient with tremendous consumer health and nutrition benefits. Research has already established that whey is one of the most highly nutritional and multi-functional proteins available, which can improve almost any food or beverage product.

The IWC Marketplace is a central gathering place for attendees during the conference highlighting innovative whey-based ingredients, processing equipment and products. Here, industry professionals and researchers from all over the world will discuss how to connect the science and technology to real-world commercial applications.

Conference attendees include the world’s top whey researchers and processors, cheese makers and leading food marketers.

Training Courses

Dairy Ingredients 360 Training Course

Are you relatively new to the dairy ingredients industry and seeking basic understanding for how dairy ingredients are manufactured, marketed and used?  Do you wish to have a greater appreciation for the connections between marketing, economics, processing and utilization of dairy ingredients?  Or would you just like to refresh your broader knowledge of this sector? If you have answered yes to any of these questions the ADPI Dairy Ingredients 360 Training Course is for you!

This virtual and interactive educational and development course provides participants with 36 hours of instructional content delivered in 3-course modules through 18 sessions over 9 months. All sessions are recorded and allow participants to watch them on-demand to accommodate any schedule. 

The Class of 2022 is running from February – October with live trainings, and individuals can sign up at any time before October to have access to this year’s course.

Dairy 101 Training

ADPI offers customized training programs to its Member companies across a number of categories and subject areas to ensure their employees are provided with a solid basis of knowledge and understanding of the dairy ingredient industry. Available as a benefit of ADPI membership, ADPI will provide a customized Dairy 101 basic orientation and training with emphasis on your company’s individual needs. 

In order to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of the training, an ADPI training team composed of one to two ADPI Center of Excellence members will travel to a location of choice.
