University College Cork (UCC) is one of the largest Universities in Ireland, with an almost 100 year history in dairy science and technology education, training and research. UCC is the number one University in Ireland for Dairy Science, with very strong international collaborations and global reach. UCC provides education and training in dairy science and technology across the entire range of learners from undergraduate, through postgraduate and industry-based learners. Through a dedicated Food Industry Training Unit, UCC provides a wide range of short courses and continuing professional development opportunities for industry-based learners in a blended (i.e., online), flexible format. Supporting the needs of industry-based learners in the area of dairy science and technology, UCC introduced a post-graduate Certificate in Dairy Technology and Innovation in 2016, with this offering recently expanded to include progression opportunities to postgraduate diploma and masters level. UCC is an international research leader in dairy science and technology, with particular strengths in the areas of dairy biochemistry, dairy technology, cheese, ingredients, enzymology and infant nutrition.
