Mitsui USA Foods & Retail operates three business areas: food resources, food manufacturing and food distribution. Our global network covers the foods value chain from up-stream to down-stream. Examples of such investments include: Multigrain (export of grain, soybean and cotton, farming, etc.); United Grain Corporation (exporting wheat, corn, and soybeans); and Mitsui Alimentos (coffee). Creating efficient channels to invest in distribution companies and manufacturers, examples include: Mitsui Bussan Logistic Inc. (demand chain service to 7Eleven in the U.S.), Ventura Foods (manufacturing of margarine, shortening, dressings, etc.), and Mitsui Foods (import, export and distribution of canned food, juice ingredients, coffee, dairy products and frozen foods). Mitsui USA continues to explore opportunities in these areas through our extensive international network, and considerable knowledge and experience. In addition, Mitsui USA’s expertise in the food safety area can help address customers’ and consumers’ needs through various solutions.
