  $30 Million of Processing Equipment Up For Auction  

On September 11, food equipment auctioneer Harry Davis & Co. will entertain bids on machinery from the former BioExx Speciality Proteins facility in Saskatchewan, Canada. The catalog includes a range of late-model evaporating, drying and pasteurization gear, some of it barely or never used.

Harry Davis marketing director Peter Rosenfeld has stated that BioExx had invested more than $30 million for the new equipment in recent years. Among the equipment is a never-operated API skid-mounted three-effect evaporator, Niro spray dryer, GEA separators and heat exchangers, Siemens reverse-osmosis water treatment system, and McQuay chillers. General plant and maintenance gear also will be up for bidding.

Successful bidders are responsible for securing and paying for transport to the equipment’s final
