Fonterra Volumes to GlobalDairyTrade Greater Than Forecast

Fonterra has announced the volume of product to be offered at the GlobalDairyTrade event to be held on March 4, 2014.

The volumes being offered by Fonterra at the next auction are higher than previously forecast.
Compared to the last auction, volumes have been increased for most of the main products on offer. In the case of anhydrous milkfat (AMF) slightly less product will be offered than at the previous auction.

Volumes have also been increased for the auctions in the coming months. AMF volumes have been raised for the April auction, and skim milk powder (SMP) volumes are higher throughout the March - May period. Fonterra has raised their March 2014 forecast volume to 43,000 tons which is more than twice the volume that was offered during March 2013 when volumes were restricted due to the NZ drought that occurred at that time. April, May and June WMP volumes have also been raised from previous forecasts.
