 Wisconsin Governor Doyle Presents Main Street Ingredients with Export Achievement Award - Main Street Ingredients  

Each year, Governor Doyle recognizes Wisconsin firms and organizations that have achieved extraordinary results in international markets or have contributed to Wisconsin’s ability to compete globally.  On Tuesday, May 13, Bill Schmitz and Aaron Macha traveled to Milwaukee to accept one of the Export Achievement Awards at the 44th annual Wisconsin International Trade Conference in Milwaukee.

Nominees must show innovation, effectiveness, and special effort in growing exports, enhancing employment, the economy, and the international prestige of Wisconsin.
 
 “Wisconsin’s exports have grown more than 80 percent during my terms in office, and our growth continues to climb,” Governor Doyle said.  “As Governor, I’m determined to build on this success and help our businesses continue to reach new markets.  I'm proud to recognize these Wisconsin companies and institutions that have demonstrated leadership and innovation in responding successfully to international market challenges. They are building a great name for Wisconsin around the globe.”
 
The Governor’s Export Achievement Awards are presented annually to state companies actively involved in export trade.  Criteria include degree of export-related growth; innovative techniques and approaches that resulted in the company’s success; and demonstration of extra effort in capturing worldwide markets.
