Where Does Your Organization Fit?
Memberships are valid on a calendar year basis (January – December), and each membership category can have an unlimited number of individual employees who benefit. Membership applications are subject to review and approval by the Board of Director’s Executive Committee and confirmation by the Board.
Processor
Firms processing milk and/or co-products derived from milk into finished marketable and/or intermediate products at a plant located within the United States.
Processor members are eligible for representation on the ADPI Board of Directors and have voting rights.
Annual membership dues are based on the volume (lbs) of qualified individual dairy ingredients produced in the United States in a calendar year.
Trading Company Tier I
Firms involved in the marketing and distribution of dairy products produced in the United States.
Trading Company Tier I members eligible for representation on the ADPI Board of Directors and have voting rights.
Annual membership dues are based on sales volume (lbs) of United States-produced dairy ingredients in a calendar year.
Trading Company Tier II
Firms involved in the marketing and distribution of dairy products produced in the United States.
Trading Company Tier II members opt for no representation on the ADPI Board of Directors and no voting rights. To determine if Tier I or Tier II is the best option for your company, please contact Beth Holcomb via email.
Annual membership dues are flat-fee as determined by ADPI’s Board of Directors.
Affiliate
Firms that are manufacturers, distributors, or suppliers of equipment, materials, and/or services to the dairy industry.
Affiliate members are not eligible for representation on the ADPI Board of Directors.
Firms that would qualify for the Processor, Trading Companies or International categories are not eligible to be Affiliate members.
Annual membership dues are flat-fee as determined by ADPI’s Board of Directors.
Utilization
Firms using dairy products that do not process milk and/or co-products derived from milk to produce finished marketable and/or intermediate products, nor supply equipment, materials or services to the industry.
Utilization members are not eligible for representation on the ADPI Board of Directors.
Annual membership dues are flat-fee as determined by ADPI’s Board of Directors.
International Companies
Firms that process or further process milk and/or co-products derived from milk into finished marketable and/or intermediate products, and do not have a dairy plant located within the United States.
International members are not eligible for representation on the ADPI Board of Directors.
Annual membership dues are flat-fee as determined by ADPI’s Board of Directors.
Academic Institutions
Academic institutions with programs doing research in and/or with the dairy industry or programs that are training students to work in the dairy industry are eligible to join ADPI.
Academic Institution members are not eligible for representation on the ADPI Board of Directors.
Academic Institutions are invited to join ADPI as a member at no-cost.
